What to Expect From Your First Physiotherapy Appointment?
Are you wondering what to expect from your first physiotherapy appointment? Physiotherapy treatments have been around for decades, and they are known for helping patients recover from injuries. However, many patients are hesitant and uncertain of what to expect heading into their first appointment.
In this article, we are going to outline what to expect from your first physiotherapy appointment and some other information to keep in mind.
What Happens During the First Physiotherapy Appointment?
What happens during the first physiotherapy appointment will depend on which practice you visit.
At RehabMAX, we have a system in place that allows us to assess our patients and begin to formulate a treatment plan during the first session. In most cases, the first session is generally used for evaluation and answering any questions.
Your initial appointment will be 60 minutes in duration. During this time, you will meet your physiotherapist and discuss your aches and pains. There may be several orthopedic tests conducted to learn more about your injuries. Once the tests are done, our physiotherapist will explain the results and answer any questions you may have.
How Often Should I Visit a Physiotherapist?
Once you have talked with a physiotherapist and done the evaluation process, they will suggest how often you need to visit the clinic. Physiotherapy treatment plans are different for each individual, therefore there is no set answer.
Visiting RehabMAX is the most effective way to recover from injuries and overcome pain. Our team provides a close and comfortable first visit, followed by careful monitoring to ensure you are recovering. We have decades of physiotherapy experience.
