Mechanical Traction and Spinal Decompression

Mechanical traction involves intermittent or sustained pressure in a direction to distract joint surfaces. This is used to treat patients with neck and low back pain, as well as those experiencing sciatica. The distraction force is used to relieve pain associated with bulging and herniated discs and degenerative disc disease. Traction is also effective for relief of neurological symptoms that radiate to the arm or leg.
